Kim Sung-hyun (25-Shinhan Financial Group-photo), who was looking for his first win on the PGA Tour, finished a disappointing runner-up.
Kim shot a 4-under 68 with four birdies and no bogeys in the fourth round of the Fortinet Championship ($8.4 million purse) at Silverado Resort & Spa (Par 72-7123) in Napa, California, USA, on Monday. His final round total of 19-under-par 269 put him in a tie for second place, two strokes behind winner Sahith Sigala (25-USA). Despite falling just short of his first win, this is Kim’s best finish on the PGA Tour.토토사이트
He made his PGA Tour debut in the 2022-2023 season after earning Rookie of the Year honors on the PGA’s secondary tour, the Conferi Tour. In his third start, he tied for fourth at the Shriners Children’s Open last October, but hasn’t had a top-10 finish since. In 32 events this season, Kim has made 20 cuts and has eight top-25 finishes.
Kim finished the regular season ranked 83rd in the FedExCup and missed the playoffs, but his runner-up finish today will help him jump to 57th in the FedExCup standings. If he finishes this fall series in the top 125 in the FedExCup, he will have a solid shot at qualifying for the 2024 season. A 51st-60th place finish would also secure him a spot in next year’s “special events” ATT Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Genesis Invitational.
